Gerald Easden Prototype Chair
Beautifully sculptural prototype chair designed and made by the late Gerald Easden.
The seat and back are made of steel that has been wrapped and stitched in thick leather. The base is timber.
This chair came from the Easden home in Mitcham and was purchased directly from his wife Jenny.
In all original condition, with marks to leather and pencil joinery marks to the raw timber base.
A large, striking and quite comfortable chair thanks to the flexing steel back.
As far as we can tell this is a 1/1 prototype that never went into production. Making it a truly special chair from the award winning designer.
